Looking for Coastal NC Kayaking Group: Join the New Brunswick County Kayak Community!

There is something magical about gliding through the blackwater creeks of the Rice Creek or watching the sunrise over the salt marshes of Oak Island. But as every paddler knows, these experiences are even better when shared with others who love the water just as much as you do.

That’s why Yakworks Kayak is thrilled to announce the launch of our new Facebook community: Brunswick County, NC - Kayak Paddling Group.

Why Join the Group?

Our mission is simple: Building the kayak community by establishing real relationships. Whether you are a seasoned offshore angler, a hobbyist photographer, or someone who just bought their first boat and isn’t sure where to start, this group is your new home base.

What You’ll Find Inside:

1. Organized Meetup Paddling Events Tired of waiting for friends to be free to hit the water? We will be posting regular meetup events. From sunset paddles to weekend excursions, these group outings are the perfect way to explore Brunswick County’s vast waterways in a safe, social environment.

2. Local Advice & Hidden Gems Brunswick County has some of the most diverse paddling in North Carolina. Members share real-time updates on water conditions, wildlife sightings, and the "best-kept secret" spots that you won't find on a standard map.

3. Launch Points & Logistics Not sure where to put in? The group serves as a living database for local launch points. Whether it’s a public boat ramp or a quiet sandy bank, you’ll get the lowdown on parking, tide dependencies, and accessibility.

4. Best Practices & Safety The ocean and tidal creeks can be unpredictable. Our community is a space to discuss safety gear, navigation tips, and "best practices" to ensure everyone stays safe while having fun. We believe in mentorship—where experienced paddlers help newcomers find their "sea legs."

Become a Part of the Yakworks Family

At Yakworks Kayak, we believe kayaking is more than just a sport—it’s a way to connect with nature and each other. This Facebook group is the digital "campfire" where we can all gather to swap stories, plan adventures, and grow the paddling culture in Brunswick County.

Ready to launch? Click the link below, join the group, and introduce yourself! Tell us what you paddle and where your favorite spot is. We can’t wait to see you on the water.
